Susan brings decades of hands-on small business experience to Oak City Accounting. As the former co-owner of a ceramics shop with her mother, she developed extensive expertise in QuickBooks while experiencing firsthand the day-to-day challenges business owners face. That real-world perspective allows her to provide practical, thoughtful guidance to every client she serves.

She attended Bergen Community College and has been an active member of her community, serving as Treasurer of the Johnston County Beekeepers Association. Susan is also an avid beekeeper—a hobby that reflects the same patience, attention to detail, and dedication she brings to her work.

Susan works with clients across a variety of industries, including interior design, construction, home building, and architecture. She has developed a particular expertise in serving attorneys and law firms and is Oak City Accounting’s go-to expert on sales and use tax, helping clients navigate complex regulations with confidence.

Susan and her husband, John, have been married for more than 30 years. After relocating from New Jersey to North Carolina to be closer to family, they have embraced life in the South. Today, Susan is a proud grandmother of two and enjoys traveling, camping, gardening, beekeeping, and spending quality time with her growing family.
